Kirk Orr and his wife, Jayne, both grew up in the same small town south of Lansing Michigan. "On both sides of our family, we saw love for one another in action because Jayne’s dad served in World War II and her mother worked in a factory to support the war effort," says Kirk. "My grandfather did meals on wheels until he was almost 90 years of age. My father, who had seven children of his own, still found time to take underprivileged kids trick or treating and Christmas shopping. These acts of kindness have helped shape both my wife and I into the people that we are today and have motivated us to continue the tradition of loving and helping others in Oakland County, Michigan. This is our main focus and why we have chosen to be a part of the Caring Matters family."

Doug Powell has worked directly in customer service for most of his life. "I decided to go back to college at 50 to get a business degree, which helped me to advance in a large company that I had been with for 15 years.
